ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) — The New York Department of Motor Vehicles says a computer glitch is preventing transactions from processing at DMV offices.
In a tweet, officials write, “DMV offices are unable to process transactions at this time due to computer issues. We are working to restore service and apologize for the inconvenience.”
It’s unclear if this issue is impacting local offices. In January, problems at the state level forced the Monroe County DMV to stop accepting credit card temporarily.
UPDATE (1 p.m.): The state says the processing issue has been corrected.
