State pledges $200 million for bridge repairs

Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced more than $200 million in enhanced funding for renewal and modernization of local bridges.

A total of ten bridges will be awarded with part of the funding in the Finger Lakes area.

Across New York state, a total of 86 bridges will receive part of the funding.

Finger Lakes region repairs:

• $1.081 million to Genesee County for Sharrick Road over Murder Creek 
• $907,000 to Genesee County for Tower Hill Road over Spring Creek 
• $787,000 to the Town of Alabama (Genesee County) for Meadville Road over Canal Creek 
• $1.082 million to the Town of Batavia (Genesee County) for Upton Road over Bowen Creek 
• $801,000 to Livingston County for Livonia Center Road (CR 39) over Kinney Creek 
• $247,000 to the Village of Dansville (Livingston County) for Seward Street and Clay Street over Bradner Creek 
• $965,000 to Monroe County for Ayrault Road over Irondequoit Creek Tributary
• $604,000 to Monroe County for Calkins Road over Red Creek Tributary 
• $995,000 to Monroe County for Elmgrove Road over Round Creek Tributary 
• $686,000 to Monroe County for Lake Road W Fork over Sandy Creek 
• $1.551 million to the City of Rochester (Monroe County) for East Main Street over CSX/Amtrak 
• $1 million to Ontario County DPW for County Road 36 over Honeoye Inlet 
• $1 million to Ontario County DPW for County Road 36 over Honeoye Inlet 
• $1.111 million to Orleans County for Transit Road over W Branch Sandy Creek
• $559,000 to Seneca County for Lodi Point Road (CR 136) over Tributary to Seneca Lake 
• $201,000 to Wayne County DPW for Woods Road (CR 115) over Salmon Creek 
• $191,000 to Wayne County DPW for Marion East Williamson Road (CR 218) over Tributary to Salmon Creek 
• $746,000 to Wayne County DPW for Mud Mills Road over Ganargua Creek 
• $1.352 million to Wyoming County for Hillside Road over Wiscoy Creek 
• $869,000 to Yates County for East Sherman Holl over Sugar Creek
