St. John Fisher College hosts 37th annual Teddi Dance for Love

Local News

Some St. John Fisher College students danced for 24 hours for a good cause Friday to Saturday. The annual Teddi Dance for Love is an annual event that raises money for Camp Good Days, specifically to send kids with cancer to the camp for free.

They raised a total of $100,395.18 this year, which is the first year they broke $100,000.

The kids from Camp Good Days arrived at the dance around 3 o clock and enjoyed a carnival set up just for them.

Teddi Committee Chair, Allison Smit, said the kids arriving was her favorite part of the whole event. She loved getting the chance to meet the people she’d been dancing for the whole time.

“Seeing their smiling faces just brings so much joy to my heart. The reveal at the end when we see how much money we raise, yes that’s awesome and I’m proud of what we’ve all accomplished, but it is more than the money, it’s the difference we’re making in these kids lives and being able to provide them these opportunities that are free of charge,” Smit said.
