A special guest was on stage Wednesday night with the Rochester City Ballet and Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
Rochester Red Wings mascot, Spikes, rehearsed for days in preparation for his appearance in tonight’s “The Nutcracker” performance. The show opened up tonight at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.
“As we know the cold weather may have come a little earlier than what we wanted but it doesn’t mean we still can’t have fun,” said Artistic Director David Palmer. “So it’s great as a community member to work with other people in the community and that’s really what ‘The Nutcracker’ is about. “
The six-day performance run of the timeless tale of “The Nutcracker” opened Wednesday night and runs through November 25th.
