Six people have been arrested and heroin and fentanyl have been seized after a drug bust in the City of Rochester and Greece.
The Monroe County Heroin Task Force reports that Thomas Strickland, Matthew Tucker, Nathaniel Doyle, Willie Thomas, Lerone Johnson, and Demetrius Scott are facing charges.
Deputies say the raid on Wednesday was part of a long-term investigation. During the raid, investigators seized 200 grams of heroin, 50 grams of fentanyl, about $50,000, a stolen handgun, crack cocaine and marijuana.
“Today’s search warrants are a perfect example of the long-term investigations we sought after when creating the Monroe County Heroin Task Force,” said Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley. “This investigation not only helped remove fentanyl and heroin from our community, but it is also bringing some of those responsible for selling these deadly drugs to justice. Since the inception of the Monroe County Heroin Task Force, the law enforcement collaboration in our community has truly been incredible and I am hopeful that we will continue to remove these deadly narcotics off of our streets.”
