A level 2 New York State registered sex offender was arrested after the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office said he failed to register a social media account.
Police arrested Clyde Hallowell, 25, of Avon for failure to register and verify on December 20.
It is alleged that Hallowell had an Instagram account that he failed to register.
New York State Corrections Law states that sex offenders need to register any online accounts within 10 days of creating said accounts.
Hallowell was arraigned in Geneseo Village Court. Bail was set at $500 cash or $1,000 bond.
