A strong cold front moving through tonight is sparking strong to severe storms this evening. The greatest severe weather threat will be through about sunset, then will fade by midnight.
Any storm will produce locally heavy rain, along with frequent lightning, small hail, and isolated damaging wind gusts.
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the area through 9PM for the storm threat.
It’ll turn much quieter, but a brisk wind blowing out of the northwest will produce another round of lakeshore flooding and much cooler air this weekend.
