Seabreeze has gained national attention thanks to a new list compiled by Trip Advisor.
“I love that there are so many rides and the rides are so fun,” said Reena O’Reilly. Her friend, Fatimah Agosto added, “people just love it here and some people could spend like six hours here like she did once,” pointing to O’Reilly.
If Trip Advisor reviews were written by kids in Rochester, like O’Reilly and Agosto, Seabreeze amusement park would be number one.
“There’s a lot of my favorite rides and there’s ice cream and you can play games and win cool prizes,” said Peyton Rothfuss, whose favorite ride is the Jack Rabbit roller-coaster.
The park at least made the top 25 though, coming in at number 22 for best amusement and water park in the entire nation.
“I would put it in the top 25, yeah,” said Rothfuss.
Trip Advisor says the list was compiled by an algorithm that takes into quality and quantity of reviews.
“We seem to really do well compared to our competitors and other water parks. I think it’s great we focus on safety and customer service and that’s special to us because that’s what we work really hard to do,” said director of operations for the park, Genevieve Norris-Brown.
Even if it’s ranked 22 by Trip Advisor, it is the number one oldest family-run amusement and water park in the country, with six generations of Rochestarians running the park.
