The Rochester Police Department is investigating two shootings that happened within fifteen minutes of each other.
Around 2:15 on Wednesday, police responded to 7th and Short Streets for an anonymous call of a male shot. They say the located a 49-year-old male victim from Rochester who was shot multiple times.
He was transported by AMR to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Around 2:30, police then responded to Mark Street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, they say they determined shots had been fired in the location, but no victims were found.
A 30-year-old male from Brighton was dropped off at Rochester General Hospital around 2:45 with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police later determined the Brighton man was the victim from Mark Street. His injuries are serious, but he is expected to live.
No suspect is in custody for either investigation at this time.
