A Rochester woman is facing charges in a deadly crash in Rochester that killed a Lyft driver on Super Bowl Sunday.
Thirty-two-year-old Mary Singhavong is charged with vehicular assault and vehicular manslaughter. Police say alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Officers say Singhavong was headed west on Norton Street Sunday afternoon when she went through a red light and collided with a sedan driven by Eric Jones, of Greece.
Jones was killed as a result of the collision. Jones’ passenger was seriously hurt, but is expected to survive.
Police say a grand jury will hear Singhavong’s case and more charges could be filed against her.
