Rochester woman accused of attempting to set fire to Catholic Family Services building

A Rochester woman has been arrested for attempted arson after police say she tried to burn down the Catholic Family Services building.

Tamu C. Coleman, 42, of Rochester was arrested and charged with second degree attempted arson following an incident that occurred on January 18 around noon.

Firefighters say Coleman intentionally set more than one fire inside the occupied building at 87 North Clinton Avenue.

The fires were extinguished before they could spread, and no one was injured.

Coleman is currently in the Monroe County Jail, awaiting arraignment.
