Rochester police locate missing vulnerable adult

Rochester Police confirm a missing man they were looking for was found on Thanksgiving around 5:00 p.m. in Greece. 

62-year-old Douglas Spencer was located by officers and taken to Rochester General Hospital by ambulance. 

Spencer is believed to be in good health, and will be cared for by the Office for Persons with Developmental Disabilities upon his release.

According to Rochester Police, Spencer’s brother, 51-year-old Mark Spencer, was arrested for Custodial Interference in the First Degree. He’s set to be arraigned on Friday in Rochester City Court. 

More information is expected to be released by police on Monday.

ORIGINAL: The Rochester Police Department is asking for help locating missing vulnerable adult Douglas Spencer, 62. 

According to police, Spencer is developmentally disabled and may be in need of medical attention. 

Police say Spencer was last seen on East Main Street in Rochester at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Spencer was a passenger in a gray 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer with New York registration HJA-3934. 

Officers say he was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt with the Rochester Americans hockey logo, navy and tan jacket and jeans.
