A local Rochester man is one of five grand prize winners of Kwik Fill’s Sounds of Christmas giveaway – and he’s using the prize to help others.
Angelo Collazo won the grand prize – $2,300 worth of musical items. After collecting his winnings at the Kwik Fill on East Ridge Road, Collazo immediately pledged to donate the items to charity.
Collazo runs a charity called the Alle Shea Project to help raise awareness and help families who have a child that suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta.
It’s a cause that’s very near and dear to his heart, as Angelo and his wife Kim lost their daughter to it when she was just five weeks old.
“I believe that the value of this prize will do better at one of our raffles at our next event, because that money will go to help other people like my daughter,” Collazo said.
