The Rochester Police Department has reported that the Arson Task Force has charged Quincey Nelson, a 43-year-old man from Rochester, with Arson Third for the vehicle fire at 125 Evergreen St. that occurred on August 28 at 11:37 p.m.
The Rochester Fire Department says they responded for the 911 call for a male setting a vehicle on fire next to the house. Fire crews arrived and found a vehicle fully involved in fire and the suspect had departed. The fire was suppressed before it spread to the occupied house.
Rochester Fire Investigators say they determined that the fire was arson. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle suffered significant damage from the fire.
Firefighters say Nelson is currently in the Monroe County Jail awaiting his arraignment.
