Rochester man arrested in connection to burglary at Parma gun shop

A Rochester man has been arrested in connection to the burglary at Chinappi’s Gun Shop on West Ridge Road in Parma.

Rochester native Marcos Guzman, 34, was charged as an accomplice to Dakota Sarfaty. Guzman assisted Sarfaty with burglarizing Chinappi’s Gun Shop during the early morning hours on August 16. 

Thus far, MCSO and ATF has recovered 15 guns in relation to the August 16 burglary of Chinappi’s Gun Shop.

Guzman was charged with Burglary in the 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd degree, and Grand Larceny in the 4th degree. 

Guzman was arraigned in the Parma Town Court on Friday and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $50,000 bail/$100,000 bond.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) and the Rochester Police Department.
