The Rochester Fire Department was dispatched to a house on fire at 1201 Bay Street just before 5 a.m. Saturday.
The fire crews arrived at 4:54 a.m. to see heavy fire coming from a two-story house. Engine 9 located the fire on the first floor.
The fire department was able to put the fire under control in 30 minutes.
Fire crew members said everyone was able to get out of the house without any injuries.
The Red Cross was called for one adult and there was one member from the protectives who sustained a medical emergency and was treated by AMR.
RFD said the amount of damage to the house was extensive. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Rochester Protectives is a volunteer department in the City of Rochester that assist the Fire Department.
