About 700 mugs are being recalled because they were mislabeled as “microwave safe.”

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) DAVIDsTEA recalled the mugs because the metallic print on the mug can spark if put in the microwave, posing a fire hazard.

The mugs are advertised as Valentine’s Day stackable mugs. One style is black and reads “You’re My Partner in Crime” inside on the bottom and another is pink and reads “I’d Check My Voicemail For You” inside on the bottom. They were sold at DAVIDsTEA stores nationwide and online from January 2019 through February 2019 for about $15.

The CPSC says the underside of the mugs have the following text printed: “Not dishwasher safe. Microwave safe.” No injuries or incidents have been reported in connection with this recall.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mugs and contact DAVIDsTEA for instructions to replace it or return it for a full refund.

Anyone with questions can contact DAVIDsTEA toll-free at 885-702-3006 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET any day of the week, email services@davidstea.com or online
