Vandalism at the First Student bus garage over the weekend is impacting students in the Rochester City School District on this Monday morning.
The district said approximately 20 to 25 buses, serving students at five to six city schools and two charters, had broken windows and fire extinguishers sprayed on them.
As a result, those schools had students arrive 20 to 30 minutes late to class. The district says drop off times shouldn’t be impacted however.
In a statement, the district apologized to families for the inconvenience and said it is working with Rochester Police as they investigate the matter.
