After the FBI raided the offices of developer Bob Morgan on Monday, Rochester Broadway Theatre League chairman Arnie Rothschild is sticking by Morgan.
Morgan is set to partner with the RBTL on the proposed performing arts theater at the Parcel 5 lot on Main Street.
The FBI raided Morgan’s Perinton office Monday by way of a court-ordered search warrant. Last year, the Buffalo News reported that the FBI was investigating how Morgan financed some of his projects. But, despite recent allegation against Morgan, Rothschild is standing by his side.
“The FBI has to do their job,” says Rothschild. “Morgan is an entirely reputable guy and at the end of this, I believe he will be vindicated. In the meantime, he’s helping to really develop downtown and we’re not about to abandon him.”
Tom Golisano has also promised $25 million to fund the Parcel 5 project. We have reached to his office but have not gotten a response.
