Rally planned in Rochester in response to Sessions firing

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - A rally in Rochester is set for Thursday evening, part of a series planned across the country in response to the firing of Attorney General Jeff Sessions by President Trump.

In Rochester, local Democrats are expected to speak at an event at the Federal Building starting at 5 p.m.

The rally is listed among Move On's "Mueller Protection Rapid Response."

Democrats worry the firing could lead to President Trump putting a stop to the Mueller investigation.

Sessions' Chief of Staff Matthew Whitaker is currently serving as interim Attorney General.
