Shoppers at Rochester’s Public Market learned more about the city’s new bike-share program on Saturday.
Zagster bikes officially launched in Rochester on Thursday. To enjoy the new bikes, all you have to do is download the app on your smartphone.
There are currently over 300 bikes available for use at 46 stations across the city.
“We were originally going to launch with 250 bikes, but we launched with 340 because there was so much excitement and we wanted to make a even, more convenient program. We’re already talking with the city about hopefully adding even more bikes and stations,” said John Terbush, of Zagster.
The bikes cost $1.00 for every 30-minutes, and you can lock them up at any location.
Terbush also added that if you’d like to a station added in your neighborhood, you can apply on the city’s website.
