Psychiatric evaluation finds Brockport shooting suspect had dangerous mental illness

Local News

A psychiatric evaluation of the woman accused of shooting and killing a stranger in Brockport concluded she has a dangerous mental illness.

Those findings were revealed during a hearing for Holly Colino on Monday.

The court was advised of her condition by two doctors, but it doesn’t appear the specific illness has been made public.

During her last appearance Colino pleaded “not responsible” by reason of mental disease or defect. She will remain in the custody of the Office of Mental Health until her next hearing in July.

Colino is accused of shooting Megan Dix in 2017. Dix was on lunch break from her job nearby, and was sitting in her car at a Brockport park.
