Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York held a silent vigil in Downtown Rochester at the Liberty Pole on Saturday.
Dozens of people stood in solidarity with the women who spoke out against the judge. It was also a show of support for survivors and victims of abuse. It was organized by Planned Parenthood, Indivisible Rochester and Rochester Now.
Organizer said this confirmation is not the end for them, it’s the beginning.
“We want to say, we hear you, we believe you and we don’t want your voices silent. We’re coming together as a community to get that word out and also to say we have to change the face of Congres,” said Barbara Moore.
