Police are warning parents after officers say a stranger offered a ride to two kids walking home from a rec program at the Helendale Playground in Irondequoit.
Officers say the incident happened on July 18, but police and playground staff say they didn’t learn of the incident until Monday when it was brought to their attention.
No descriptions of the person or their vehicle were released.
In a tweet, officials offered tips to parents to help keep kids safe.
