Police release names of officers involved in shootout with Terrell Blake

Police have identified the law enforcement officers who they say fired their guns in the shootout with murder suspect Terrell Blake Wednesday.  A total of 13 Rochester police officers and one Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy discharged their weapons after Blake crashed his van into a fence and refused to comply with police orders.  Blake was killed.

Earlier, Blake shot at law enforcement during a chase after he allegedly murdered his ex-girlfriend, and shot two others, including his own son.

Police say the following officers were involved in the shootout.  They have been placed on administrative duty pending the outcome of internal investigations at their respective agencies.  That is standard procedure.

*Sergeant Brian Phillips, age 46, 18-year veteran of RPD

*Sergeant Dan Brochu, age 53, 15-year veteran of RPD

*Sergeant Josh Lewis, age 38, 12-year veteran of RPD

*Officer Tito Batson, age 38, 13-year veteran of RPD

*Officer Ryan Hartley, age 40, 12-year veteran of RPD

*Officer Brandon Mandurano, age 38, 12-year veteran of RPD

*Officer Thomas Deane, age 32, 11-year veteran of RPD

*Officer Richard Doran, age 42, 10-year veteran of RPD

*Officer Jordan Bracey, age 45, 10-year veteran of RPD

*Officer Jonathan Marsh, age 33, 9-year veteran of RPD

*Officer John Woicyk, age 27, 2-years of service with RPD

*Officer William Minks, age 30, 1 year of service with RPD

*Officer Harry Scorse, age 31, 1 year of service with RPD

*Deputy Paolo Saieva, age 27, 5-year veteran of MCSO
