Police investigating dramatic crash near Home Depot

GREECE, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - Police are continuing to investigate what caused an early morning car crash Tuesday outside Home Depot in Greece on West Ridge Road.

A Home Depot employee captured the scene on video of a car that caught fire in the parking lot around 2 a.m. That same employee told News 8 he saw someone get out of the car.

Police, firefighters, and an RG&E crew were called to the scene

A small utility box between the parking lot and the roadways was destroyed and a fire hydrant was hit. The utility box briefly caught fire, and the hydrant sprayed water onto the lot.

No word yet on the cause of the crash, any injuries, or any charges.
