Police say dozens of dead chickens where left behind in a Norfolk parking lot over the weekend.
Animal Protection officers were called to the lot of the vacant of the Kmart on Military Highway and Norview Avenue.
Norfolk police spokesman Daniel Hudson says there were 51 dead chickens in total that were discarded. The chickens were removed and the scene was cleared.
Officers are continuing to investigate the case.
