Plow companies have started to gear up for the busy weekend ahead.
Dennis Dalberth, owner of Highland Lawn Care and Snow Plowing, said his plans for the next couple days are to get well rested, make sure his guys know their routes and get organized.
On a normal snowy day, it’s easy to go out early in the morning and get everything cleared out in time. But when the snow is coming down constantly, keeping the snow plowed for all the customers is no easy task. All the drivers go out at once, and take breaks as they need them.
“We’re gonna keep coming around the clock. We’ll be there, but timing is of the essence because of how much snow is gonna be there and traffic and stuff like that I’m sure somebody’s gonna get stuck that takes time,” Dalberth said.
To help the plow drivers clear snow as efficiently as possible, Dalberth said people should pay attention to plows backing in and out of driveways or parking lots. He also said to clear off your car so it doesn’t blend in with the side of the road.
