Planned Webster playground for kids with disabilities gets $100K donation

Local News

A field of dreams just got better after a large donation from a New York business.

Boulter Industrial Contractors donated $100,000 to the Challenger Miracle Field of Greater Rochester’s highly anticipated playground which is set to break ground this summer. Like the Miracle Field, this playground will be designed to eliminate barriers for kids with disabilities and make play more inclusive for everyone.

“People will drive or miles and miles to have their child with a challenge come and have a good time without having to worry about obstacles and everything else,” said Ron Kampff, Miracle Field president. “And also hopefully use the miracle field as a place to play.”

The playground will feature, among other things, wheelchair ramps and quiet play areas for kids with autism. More information on the Miracle Field is available here. https://rochestermiraclefield.org/

The field is located at the Ridge Park campus (1000 Ridge Road) in Webster.
