BRIGHTON, NY (WROC) — A driver has been ticketed for a serious crash in Brighton that has left another man in the hospital with serious injuries.
Joseph Marino, 82, from Pittsford, has been cited by Brighton police for failing to proceed with caution at a flashing yellow light after the crash on Thursday.
Brighton Police Chief Mark Henderson said two vehicles collided at the intersection of Route 441 and Linden Avenue just before 9 a.m. on Thursday. The crash left one vehicle crumpled on the side of the roadway.
Police say Alexander Cohen, 27, from Penfield, was westbound on Route 441 approaching Linden Avenue when Marino attempted a left turn from eastbound Route 441 to Linden Avenue.
Cohen was seriously injured and is still hospitalized at Strong Memorial Hospital. Police said his injuries were life-threatening.
