Residents on Thornfield Way in Perinton were alerted after an explosion around 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Egypt firefighters responded, finding an in-home wood shop had caught fire, causing a propane tank inside to explode.
No one was hurt in the incident, but the wood shop was completely destroyed. Firefighters are now investigating the cause of the fire.
