In his lawyer’s office, two days after he was acquitted of murder, Paul Tucci wanted to tell *his* side of the story.
“I see the words evil, and monster and ‘mommy did this and that’ and it’s just not that way,” he said. When asked who killed Craig Rideout, he says he doesn’t know.
But prosecutors claim Tucci *did* kill Rideout, along with Laura Rideout and Rideout’s sons Alex and Colin, and all four tried to cover up the crime. All of them lived together.
The evidence at trial included surveillance video and, in a search of Tucci’s home, the exact or similar items used in the crime.
Tucci was the only one to be acquitted-
“What they didn’t have is an eyewitness, anything. Nobody saw anything anywhere,” Tucci said. “There’s a lot of questions.”
Tucci denies allegations he got away with murder. When asked if he believes either of the boys killed Craig, he said no.
” I mean we have verdicts, but I don’t think they did. I mean if Colin was sitting here, I would sleep easy if he was sitting here too. This is not the way he is.”
