One of two men arrested for the stabbing death of a Sodus teen last year has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

As part of a plea agreement, Vaughn Gray is expected to serve 18 years behind bar for the death of 17-year-old Zackary Dwello.

Gray and another suspect, 18-year-old Hunter Peck, were arrested in March for Dwello’s death in December.

Dwello was stabbed in Perkins Park in Newark on December 8, 2017. Prosecutors said there had been contact between Dwello and the suspects before Dwello was attacked during a robbery attempt.

He was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries.

News 8 is reaching out to prosecutors to see where Peck’s case stands at this time.

Gray will be officially sentenced in November.
