An Ogden man was arrested after Gates Police say he led them on a chase on Monday night.

Police say Derek W. O’Donnell, 38, was observed around 11 p.m. traveling down Buffalo Road at a high rate of speed.

O’Donnell initially pulled over for the Gates Police Officer, but allegedly fled, leading the officer on a half mile car chase to his apartment in Ogden.

An Ogden Police Officer who was in the apartment complex on an unrelated job assisted Gates Police in taking O’Donnell into custody.

O’Donnell was charged with DWI, obstructing governmental administration, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, as his license was revoked pending another alcohol-related offense.
