The annual New York Ice Wine & Culinary Festival will be held this Saturday, February 13 at Casa Larga Vineyards in Fairport.

Andrea Colaruotolo-O’Neill of Casa Larga and chef Autumn Geer of Brick City Catering discussed the event Monday on News 8 at Noon.

This will mark the 8th annual event.  It celebrates the ice wine harvest and includes foods that are infused with the ice, seminars and horse and carriage rides.  There are also other types of beverages, like spirits and beer.

Chef Geer shared an arugula salad topped with bleu cheese, pecans, craisins and a bit of dried apricot.  The vinaigrette is infused with the ice wine.  She also shared a pulled chicken sandwich braised with barbeque sauce and ice wine.

The New York Ice Wine & Culinary Festival will also feature a tent on the Casa Larga deck called the “Love Shack” to acknowledge Valentine’s Day the following day.

Tickets can be purchased at Wegmans and Casa Larga – including the day of the event, or online at the Casa Larga website, click here.
