A nursing home building, not far from Erie, Pennsylvania, has been damaged by a tornado as severe weather pushed through the area on Tuesday.
Our sister station WJET reports 162 nursing home residents at Rolling Fields Eldercare in Conneautville have been evacuated from the facility after an outbuilding was significantly damaged. Officials confirm a tornado touched down in the area.
Two residents were hospitalized for two minor injuries, officials report.
The nursing home residents have been taken to a local fire hall and school.
Tornado warnings in the area have expired, but other severe weather alerts were still in effect.
