Ontario County has upgraded their travel advisory to “No Unnecessary Travel” effective immediately.
The advisory has been put into place due to the increased snowfall rates coupled with wind gusts of 20 to 30 miles per hour. Some wind gusts may approach 40 miles per hour.
The county has stated that if residents must operate an automobile, they should so with caution and be alert to occasions of reduced visibility caused by blowing snow.
The “No Unnecessary Travel” advisory will remain in effect in Ontario County until 5:00 a.m. on Thursday.
