New York State reminds employers to electronically file quarterly finance forms

Local News

The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance is reminding employers throughout the state who are required to withhold and remit payroll taxes on behalf of their employees that the deadline to file NYS-45, Quarterly Combined Withholding, Wage Reporting, and Unemployment Insurance Return, is Monday, May 1st.

Employers have to electronically file NYS-45 forms through one of three approved methods: a web file, web upload, or FSET compatible software.

Those filing who are subjected to the Metropolitan Commuter Transportation Mobility Tax also need to file Form MTA-305 by May 1st, unless your payroll expense is less than $312,500 during the quarter.
