The ribbon was cut on some next-generation manufacturing tools for BOCES on Wednesday.
Students will be able to use the two CNC machines at the BOCES 2 WeMoCo Career and Technical Education Center in Spencerport.
Software will help students to manufacture parts, and then code the machines to recreate it. It’s hoped that the new tools will help students in their journey towards higher education and employment.
“These two machines will allow our students to build things they haven’t before,” said Superintendent Jo-Anne Antonacci.
Monroe County Industrial Development Corporation donated money for the machines to be given to BOCES.
