SUNY Geneseo says that there has been another increase in the number of people with mumps at the school, up to 15 confirmed cases. Six of the cases are on-campus, nine are off-campus.

There are also two possible cases of students who have been tested for mumps and are awaiting results.

The tentative return date to campus for unvaccinated students is January 5, 2017. The school says that the date is subject to change, however, as unvaccinated students are required to stay away from campus for 26 days following the most recently confirmed case.

Students showing symptoms, or who have concerns consistent with mumps, should call Health and Counseling Center at 585-245-5736.
