MACEDON, NY (WROC) — A motorcyclist was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment after deputies say his motorcycle collided with a deer last week.

Deputies say the driver, 49-year-old William Watson from Palmyra, was headed east on Route 31 near Alderman Road on Saturday morning when a deer ran into the road.

Watson hit the deer and lost control of his motorcycle. Deputies did not disclose the severity of his injuries.

Deputies along with Palmyra police, Macedon Town Ambulance and South Macedon Fire responded for the call.
