The Rochester Police Department is investigating a serious injury motorcycle accident that occurred around 8:15 p.m. in the 2800 block of Lake Avenue.
Police say the operator is a 42-year-old male from Rochester.
According to police, the investigation at this point indicates the motorcycle he was operating was north on Lake Avenue when he lost control around Cheltenham Road, struck the curb, possibly a pole and was ejected from the cycle.
Police say he was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by AMR and his injuries are serious.
At this point, officers do not believe any other vehicles were involved.
Police say it is unknown at this time what caused the operator to lose control.
Rochester Police are continuing the investigation.
