Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy involved in two-car crash in Rochester

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has reported that at approximately 5:00 p.m., a Monroe County Sheriff Deputy was involved in a two car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of W. Main Street and Broad Street in the City of Rochester.  

Deputies say the Sheriff’s vehicle was traveling South on Broad Street, and the other vehicle, a sedan, was operating West bound on W. Main Street, when the vehicles collided.

They say the operator of the sedan sustained a minor knee injury and declined medical treatment.  The sheriff’s deputy was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for neck pain and a shoulder injury.  There were no passengers in either vehicle. 

This accident is an active investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
