Monroe County holds “Recruiting on the Road” job fair

Local News

Monroe County is continuing its efforts to promote job creation in Rochester. The County partnered with Rochester Works to bring the “Recruiting on the Road” job fair to several communities, as part of Monroe County’s 2017 Small Business Week program.

Over 100 people came out to talk with the 15 companies there, who are all actively hiring.

“After this event we are going to meet and come up with a calendar of about two or three more this year, as well as at least five for next year that we’ll be doing,” said Rich Turner, Workforce Development Manager with Monroe County. “We’ll be looking at communities like Fairport, Henrietta, Irondequoit and other communities that may not have these types of job fairs so that we can help bring more job seekers throughout the county. ”
