“Miss Saigon” delivers power, emotion

Local News

The Rochester Broadway Theatre League is presenting Miss Saigon with shows through Sunday, March 10 at the Auditorium Theatre in Rochester.

Miss Saigon brings us to the last days of the Vietnam War, where 17-year-old Kim is forced to work in a bar run by a notorious character known as the Engineer. There she meets and falls in love with an American G.I. named Chris but they are torn apart by the fall of Saigon. For three years, Kim goes on an epic journey of survival to find her way back to Chris, who has no idea he’s fathered a son.

Christine Bunuan, who plays Gigi, and Jinwoo Jung, who plays Thuy, discussed the show and their characters Wednesday during News 8 at Noon.
