Monday several people came out for a memorial tribute for those we have lost due to opioid addiction and those that are still struggling with substance abuse.
The memorial was in honor of William Martinez, who died from an overdose back in July. The event on Monday was held on Treyer Street in Rochester. It served as a way for families and friends of victims to come together. A narcan demonstration was given along with kits.
Some of the organizations that were present were S.O.A.R.S., IBERO, Project HOPE, and Mission recovery.
