Man taken into custody after SWAT team called to Farmington Rd. in Rochester

There’s a heavy police presence near the Irondequoit border in a neighborhood on Farmington Road in Rochester near School 52. 

Police were called to the neighborhood just before 8 a.m. Monday. 

A SWAT team was called to assist Rochester police officers. 

Several blocks are closed off. 

News 8 has a crew at the scene and is seeking to learn further information. 

(UPDATE 9:30 a.m.):

Police say they were called to the home by a concerned neighbor who spotted a shotgun.

One of the residents was taken into custody, but hasn’t been criminally charged. Police say they haven’t yet located a shotgun.

The investigation on Farmington Road is still ongoing.

Police say the man who was taken from the home is cooperating with officers.

Police have closed Farmington Road again and conducting an investigation.

A bomb squad was called to a home on Farmington Road.
