Man shot in the back on Hague St. in Rochester

Rochester police are investigating a shooting on the city’s west side.

Officers were called to Hague Street off of Jay Street just after 7:00 p.m. Friday for a report of shots fired. Shortly after, they received a report of a man with a gunshot wound on nearby Ames Street. 

Police say the 24-year-old Rochester man suffered a gunshot wound to the lower back during an argument on Hague Street.

The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

So far there has been no word on any suspects connected to the incident
