A driver has been hospitalized with serious injuries following a vehicle rollover on I-490 westbound near Pittsford Victor Road at 1:00 a.m. this morning.
According to the Monroe County sheriff’s office an S.U.V. was driving westbound when it left the roadway, struck a guardrail, rolled over several times, and came to a rest on its roof in the median.
Police say the man was wearing his seat belt and was buckled to the driver’s seat when crews got to the scene.
They cut him out of the seat and sent him to Strong Memorial Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
Police say that drugs and alcohol were not a factor.
