A man who escaped police custody while at the hospital was sentenced on Wednesday.
Franklin Gay, 41, was arrested for swallowing a bag of drugs after being pulled over by police on 390.
He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, but walked out after a nurse removed his restraints for treatment.
Gay was sentenced to one and half to three years in prison for attempting to escape police custody. This will run concurrent to his sentence in Ontario County for drug charges and tampering with evidence.
Gay was sentenced as a second felony offender, due to previous convictions.
